Thanks for taking the time to check out our new blog! We thought it was about time that we showcase some of the amazing students we have in the areas, as well as highlight our alumni. We also wanted this to be a place for you to come to receive some insight into TROY happenings, check out career tips and tidbits, and see anything else related to higher education and the news. Like the 1887 Trojan motto says, this blog is here to help “Educate the mind to think, the heart to feel, the body to act.”  

Troy University is a public institution comprised of a network of campuses through Alabama and worldwide. International in scope, Troy University provides a variety of educational programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels for a diverse student body in traditional, nontraditional and emerging electronic formats. Academic programs are supported by a variety of student services which promote the welfare of the individual student. Troy University’s dedicated faculty and staff promote discovery and exploration of knowledge and its application to life-long success through effective teaching, service, creative partnerships, scholarship and research.Troy University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges  to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, education specialist and doctoral degrees. The Commission is to be contacted only if there is evidence that appears to support an institution’s significant non-compliance with a requirement or standard. The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) has certified Troy University to operate in Virginia. Troy University’s Hampton Roads site is conveniently located off of I-64 at the intersection of Volvo Parkway and Battlefield Blvd in Chesapeake, VA.
